You Will Increase The Risk of Migraines If You Luck This Vitamin In Your Diet!!!

The Migraine headaches are very common among people and can last from a few hours to three days. Unfortunately, these terrible headaches are not so understood and are poorly treated medical disorders. Namely, they appear as a result of a complex interplay of genetic, neurological and environmental factors that vary from person to person. Furthermore, there are also some patients that experience “auras” prior to onset, while others do not.

Migraines can also cause vomiting, fever, and/or sensitivity to light, sound, and smells in some cases, chills, sweating and nausea. According to a research, there are more than 300 million people worldwide that suffer from migraine headaches. For instance: about 6 to 7 percent of men and about 15 to 18 percent of women. And unfortunately an estimated 20 million migraine attacks occur every single day.

Look at The Main Causes of Migraine:

Although the causes of migraines have been discussed and examined in many different studies, none of them can fully and clearly explain their occurrence. Hence, even though these theories can be conflicting, the majority of them claims that the main causes of migraine include:

  • Excessive rise of blood flow in the brain. On the contrary, some studies revealed that these headaches are not followed by decrease and constriction in blood flow, but by an increase of about 300 percent. Notwithstanding, once the migraine attack is in full swing, circulation appears normal.
  • A neurological disorder which are related to entire nerve cell activity. Namely, migraines most often occur due to a neurological disorder which is related to nerve cell activity that sweeps across your brain, thus causing pain.
  • What is more, the terrible migraine pain can be also caused by swollen and inflamed blood vessels, thus including those in the brain, when the levels decrease.
  • The vascular constriction in the brain. Migraines may appear from initial blood vessel constriction and a decrease in blood flow too. Followed by stretching of blood vessels and dilation. And consequently it activates the neurons which indicate pain.

The Migraines & Vitamin deficiency

In a study it was revealed that the vitamin B6, B12, and folic acid supplements can actually cause a two-fold reduction in migraines more than a six-month period. Namely, the same was also suggested by previous research. In addition, a 2004 study in the European Journal of Neurology. Pointed out that migraine attacks can be successfully avoided by consumption of high doses of B2 or (riboflavin).

Furthermore, the levels of homocysteine production can be increased by some gene mutations and dysfunctions too, thus making you more prone to migraine attacks. Additionally, it was also discovered that vitamins B6 and B12 can reduce homocysteine levels as well.

Professor Lyn Griffiths notes that: “… In case all patients received the same vitamin dosage for the exactly same period of time it would be expected that those with TT genotypes. Would actually metabolize less homocysteine over the treatment period in comparison to C allele carriers. And ae the end resulting in a smaller reduction in homocysteine and consequent migraine symptoms too.

Nevertheless, the TT genotypes although having a higher risk of disease actually can require a larger dosage of vitamins in order to exhibit the same effect as C alleles.”

Moreover, she claims that their aim is to specify the optimal dosage of B vitamins based on the genetic profile. In fact, she also explained that: It has been discovered that many inexpensive and safe vitamin supplements can treat migraine patients and this is the success of our trial.

However, all migraine symptoms may be caused by another, even more widespread, type of vitamin deficiency. Further, a year ago, an observational study at the 50th Annual Meeting of the American Headache Society. Discovered that about 42 percent of patients with chronic migraine were deficient in vitamin D.

Researchers also revealed that the longer you suffered from chronic migraines. The more likely you are to be vitamin D deficient.

This means that these new findings can be tacked on to the numerous health consequences of vitamin D deficiency.
